July 202325 July 2023 Well June came and went and now July is almost over too! Snip, Snip, Snip has been the order of the month with pruning well and truly underway. As I type this we are 7-10 days away from being finished. Wow! Nothing much else has happened other than the fact that we moved from across the road here to the vineyard. We have had lots, and lots, and I mean, LOTS of rain, and I am proud to annouce I have fixed the leak we had, and am now confident that that issue is over. Having booked the ferry to Tasmania for 2024, we have been doing plenty of research on where to go and what to see. We have also agreed to work another grain harvest again, possibly our last, at Bruce Rock, and low and behold, not long after committing to that, a farmer contacted us and wanted a header or chaser bin driver, so maybe next year.
Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will. |
